As you can guess from the title, we’re twins. We both love baking, cooking, taking pictures, writing, and basically anything else that means spending time in the kitchen. (um, scratch that. no dishwashing, please.) The kitchen is our happy place, and Double Batch is where we get to share all of our creations (and old favorites!) with you.
We are family-taught/self-taught/cookbook-taught/still learning chefs. We live in Midwest America, are a part of a big, continuously-expanding family, and think nothing’s better than an evening at home. Favorite desserts are chocolate cheesecake and apple pie, nature walks keep us balanced, friends keep us motivated, Jane Austen keeps us smart, travel is our outlet, homemade applesauce is a necessity, and old movies keep us laughing. Each and every one of our recipes are dedicated to bringing you comforting and easy recipes straight from our kitchen. We love working with produce which is seasonal and try to include pantry staples at all times. We specialize in sweet desserts and freezer meals. Whatever you need, whenever you need it, whether it’s a quick dinner for a school night or an elegant dessert for a dinner party, we’ve got you covered. 😉
